Carles Puigdemont, as the President of the Government of Catalonia (Catalan: Generalitat de Catalunya), an autonomous regional government, should be held legally accountable– along with his rogue team of separatist politicians– for endangering the lives of thousands of people who took to the streets to protest and vote on an illegal referendum for the “independence” of Catalonia. This illegal referendum ignored the anti-independence wishes of over half the population in that region– a perfect example of socialist “democracy” by “consensus”– which means that a minority decides what’s good for the majority of us!
But let’s go back to the protests…
These “independence” protests, which on the surface appear to be spontaneous– are far from it.
These socialist-style “peaceful” protests are always orchestrated to challenge authority, while taking advantage of liberal media coverage, knowing full well that the mainstream media always paints law enforcement in a bad light. This manipulation of people’s emotions may work well for the socialist and or naive viewer– but it is an insult to the intelligence of millions of people who cannot be fooled, and who respect the rule of law.
Fortunately, hundreds of thousands of Catalans against illegal “independence” took to the streets on Sunday to show enormous support for law enforcement officers sent by the federal government in Madrid, and marched proudly– as they wrapped themselves in the flag of Spain.
Puigdemont should also be held legally responsible for the thousands of jobs lost across Catalonia, as corporation after corporation left the region, in order to avoid the political and economic nightmare created by the separatists. Frankly, I don’t know if these corporations will ever or should come back, with Puigdemont and his ilk in charge!
Catalonia
Catalonia is a region in Spain which enjoys an autonomy never seen before in the Spanish territory. During the last 40 years Catalans have enjoyed incredible freedom and benefits under a Spanish constitution– which the people of Catalonia overwhelmingly approved. So, this business of “independence” is simply a socialist-separatist ploy to advance a “social justice” agenda, which has little to do with language and culture. And if you don’t know the danger of a “social justice” agenda– all you need to do is look at the poster child of “social justice”– Cuba!
Which leads me to the next point…
Don’t you find it interesting (and revolting) that while Puigdemont and his rogue team of social justice warriors claim “freedom, justice and independence” for Catalonia– they are HUGE supporters of the Communist brutal dictatorship in Cuba?
Puigdemont’s speech on October 10: “An exercise in cynicism”
Puigdemont’s speech today before the Catalan (Regional) Parliament was not just an embarrassment– it was a string of empty words and lies to the people of Catalonia and to the people of Spain– and to anybody else who wasted their time watching and listening to him, including this writer. In the words of Ignasi Guardans, a Catalan lawyer and former MEP, Puigdemont’s speech was an “exercise in cynicism.”
Puigdemont, who declared today that Catalonia is “independent” (but in a back-burner-sort-of-way)– also wants to “dialogue.” There’s only one problem: there’s no one to dialogue with– because no one is interested.
So, it’s time for the Spanish government to apply Article 155 of the Spanish Constitution, before the rogue “government” of Catalonia destroys the region, by continuing to put its citizens in harms way— along with their political and economic institutions.

Communists, socialists and globalists operate under similar mechanisms. But now that the word “globalization” has gotten a bad rap– the globalists are reemerging under a different name, as the captioned image suggests, from an editorial of the Peterson Institute.

Manuel Valls is the very Socialist Prime Minister of France. Keep in mind that the Socialists are responsible for opening the flood gates for the Islamic migration to Europe. Here are some of the words that Prime Minister Valls had the nerve to say to the French people following the massacre in Nice, which took place 11 days ago. (Excerpts from The Telegraph in London):
French Prime Minister warns terrorism will be part of French daily life for a long time
Manuel Valls, the French Prime Minister, has warned the country that it will have to live with the constant threat of terrorism for a long time.
Interviewed by Journal du Dimanche, Mr Valls painted a gloomy picture of the the future [sic].
“The terrorism threat is will be a fundamental and enduring problem and other lives will be wrecked,” he said.
“One could refuse to face facts, we could forget, move on. But I must tell the truth to the French people, terrorism will be part of our daily lives for a long time.”
It is important to observe the similarities between the massacre in Orlando and the massacre in Nice: both killers were found to be homosexual Islamic terrorists, per investigative reports from both crime scenes (see reference). Yet, we hear very little from the mainstream media about the profile of the killer in Orlando. We can soon expect to hear very little about the killer in Nice. I expect the same thing from Germany, where there have been four horrific attacks this week, followed by politically correct press releases and statements.
Forensic psychology is an essential part of forensic science. As such, responsible governance requires that detailed reports of all forensic analysis be made available for the sake of public safety, with the exception of sections that protect the innocent. But we are dealing with Socialist governments and a mainstream media which for the most part delivers to the public square only what is politically correct.
The FBI claims that it has found no evidence that the Orlando killer was involved in a homosexual environment, in spite of testimonies given by the killer’s ex-wife, as well as by men who had come in contact with him, sexually or through dating apps. This is the same FBI whose director told us a few days ago that in spite of Hillary Clinton’s lies and coverups involving her emails as Secretary of State, it cannot recommend any charges to the Justice Department!
It is noteworthy that those who frequented the Orlando club and had contact with the killer continue to insist that he was a homosexual. By coming forward, they are helping forensic scientists do their work.
But is the FBI calling these individuals liars?
Is the homosexual community being thrown under the bus by the “progressives” (Socialists) when it comes to terrorist attacks against them? This is after all how socialists work. When you don’t follow their marching orders and you become disruptive to their agenda, they cut your funding and support. They simply cut you loose because you are no longer needed.

Here are excerpts from an LA Times report (the LA Times deserves credit for breaking away from political correctness by publishing it). Information inside brackets added for clarification:
It is possible that Mateen might have had communications on cellphones or other electronic equipment that have not been recovered by investigators in the wake of the shooting.
Some of those who have claimed to be in contact with Mateen before the shooting continue to insist that the gunman seen in the photos released after the shooting is the same man who visited the nightclub before the shooting.
Kevin West, 29, a Navy veteran and Pulse [club] regular, said Mateen [killer] messaged him on Jack’d and also said he recognized him entering the club on the night of the shooting. After the attack, West turned his phone and app passwords over to police and FBI investigators. He said Mateen didn’t reveal his name, but he recognized him from the photo Mateen had posted on the app, which matched one of the gunman released after the shooting.
On Thursday, he dismissed federal investigators’ doubts.
“No one is lying about him being on there,” West said of the gay apps, adding that “once you have the app and delete your profile, it’s gone.”
As these Islamic terrorist attacks continue, we can expect to hear more politically correct lectures– like the one that Obama gave us after the Orlando massacre, where he spent a considerable amount of time admonishing us that we are to respect Islam as a religion of peace. Meanwhile, death and destruction continues to be perpetrated by these radical Islamic savages.
The French people deserve the truth. The German people deserve the truth. Americans deserve the truth. The entire world deserves the truth! And the truth is that Europe has lost control of its borders, its towns and even major cities– because of Socialist laws that have violated the sovereignty of entire nations.
Having survived Communism, I can say that Europeans and Americans can expect Socialists to continue giving them half truths! And a half-truth is nothing but a carefully crafted lie by corrupt government officials through socialist (“progressive”) consensus.
We cannot afford to end up like Europe. Great Britain has led the way through Brexit. Americans must do the same by voting for Donald Trump– the only one who has had the guts (in decades) to put our safety first.

You may have missed my March 4 commentary on my companion blog, Marielena Speaks… (as part of a week-in-review-post) regarding the plight of Christians in Pakistan– and what they suffer when they leave as refugees. I invite you to read it below, in light of the savage terrorist attacks that took place yesterday (Easter Sunday) during a gathering of Christians in Lahore.
There is no doubt that the persecution of Christians has intensified all over the world.
Pakistanis who convert to Christianity suffer terrible persecution inside their country. Their only chance of survival is to flee. Many of these Pakistani Christians seek refuge in Thailand where they wait as UN-registered asylum seekers to be processed by the UNHCR (the UN High Commissioner for Refugees)– but the UN can take years to process their documents. In the meantime they suffer inhumane treatment inside Thailand.
Except from an article published on 4 August, 2015 on Fox News titled “Pakistani Christian refugees face ordeal in Thailand” — regarding the suffering of Pakistani Christians inside Thailand’s camps:
“…horrendous conditions including cramped cells, inadequate nutrition and children being incarcerated with adults. In the central jail, the men are bound in shackles and forced to stand in the hot sun. In the IDC, up to 200 people can be packed in a room meant for 100 leaving very little space to properly sleep. Many have since been released for up to a year until they get a proper visa, otherwise they face being put back in the IDC or being deported back to Pakistan.”
It appears that the United Nations does not place sufficient importance on the processing of Christian refugees– compared to the quick actions they have taken in Europe on behalf of Muslim refugees fleeing war-torn areas in the Middle East.
[UPDATE: One of the Muslim terrorists from last week’s attacks in Brussels entered Europe as a “refugee”].
Again, the United Nations– which is supposed to practice “social justice”– seems to apply their justice on a selective basis.

The Belgian Ambassador to France, Vincent Mertens de Wilmars, just spoke to France 24. France 24 has an English-language channel; however, this particular interview was conducted through their French channel. Behind the ambassador one could see the flag of the EU and the Belgian flag. The latter was wrapped in a black ribbon to signify a country in mourning, after the savage terrorist attacks in Brussels this week.
I was taken aback by Ambassador de Wilmars political correctness, in spite of the overwhelming indignation by Belgians and Europeans in general, regarding the Islamic extremism that has pushed cities like Brussels into a state of panic.
The last straw came when de Wilmars offered the solution to stop the radicalization at Moslem schools / centers: to treat them the same as one would treat Catholic schools and others– in order to prevent extremism!
Excuse me? Catholic schools are not centers of extremism. When have you seen a young Catholic man or woman be radicalized into blowing people up, based on Catholic teachings? Never!
One can only imagine that de Wilmar’s statement is due to the fact that apparently it is not uncommon for Moslem students to attend Catholic schools in Belgium.
Let’s examine this situation.
The following are excerpts from a Reuters News article titled, “Suicide bomber Laachraoui was model student at Brussels Catholic school” (
“Brussels suicide bomber Najim Laachraoui, a veteran Islamist fighter in Syria also suspected of making explosive belts for November’s Paris attacks, was a model student in a Brussels Catholic high school, the school’s director told Reuters.”
“‘Najim Laachraoui was a very good student,” said Veronica Pellegrini, the director of the Institut de la Sainte Famille d’Helmet, a Catholic school in the ethnically mixed east Brussels borough of Schaerbeek.”
“‘He never failed a class,” Pellegrini said of Laachraoui, who studied at the school for six years, until graduating in 2009. “We haven’t heard from him since,” she told Reuters in a phone interview.”
“There is speculation Laachraoui had just returned from Syria, possibly by sea with refugees.”
“Catholic religion classes are part of the school’s curricula for all students independent of their religion, and Laachraoui would have attended those classes as any other student, Pellegrini said.”
“While the school offers technical studies in fields such as chemistry, and Belgian media say Laachraoui had studied electromechanics, Pellegrini said he did not take such courses in her school, where he only pursued general studies.”
“It is not uncommon for Muslim pupils in Belgium to go to Catholic schools, which can be seen as more conservative or more exclusive than state schools.”
“The Paris attacks’ suspected mastermind, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, a Belgian killed during a raid in Paris suburb St Denis on Nov. 18, had at 12 won a scholarship to an elite Catholic school.”
It’s time for Catholic schools to stop being politically correct and begin to enforce authentic Catholic curriculum. Catholic schools must not enroll students whose families have no interest in becoming Christians. In my opinion, we need to ask if Catholic schools are simply interested in making a profit from Islamic students. How else can one explain such an Islamic radical to emerge from a “Catholic” school?
Is Pellegrini (the school director) contradicting herself when she says that Laachraoui only pursued “general studies?” Is her school requiring that each and every student pass religion courses on Christianity? What’s the point of a “Catholic” school if it does not require all students to enroll in courses that teach Christianity? But considering the chaotic state of the Catholic Church hierarchy in Rome– why should anyone be surprised about the ambiguity of modernist Catholic education!
And so… this nauseating and bizarre political correctness continues as a disease that Socialists are spreading across Europe– like a deadly virus. The symptoms are evident in the streets of Paris, Brussels, Cologne, Stockholm and others. Innocent Europeans, Americans, as well as individuals from many different countries, are being blown apart or left maimed by savage Islamic extremists– while educators, diplomats and politicians continue their dangerous charade of political correctness. Enough is enough. Americans, take note!
