American fencer, Alexander Massialas, lost to Italian fencer Daniele Garozzo– whose speed, technique and precision proved to be a challenge that our great American fencer could not overcome.
Massialas will surely be back in the 2020 Olympics.

One of the world’s greatest fencers is Alexander Massialas– and he’s an American!
Massialas just beat Richard Kruse of Great Britain 15-9. Mind you, Kruse is a formidable fencer. Massialas is now going for the gold.
It’s great to enjoy this extraordinary sport, which I love.
