Terrorism in Sub-Saharan Africa is Underreported: Today’s attack in Mogadishu

While people are being massacred in Mogadishu, the mainstream media is instead obsessed with 24-hour coverage of Brexit– telling us that the sky is falling, and criticizing the Britons because they have freed themselves from the socialists at the EU.

SOMALIAIslamic terrorism is on the march. Painfully, I find myself again having to denounce the fact that terrorist attacks in sub-Saharan Africa continue to be underreported by the mainstream media. Had today’s terrorist attack at the Hotel Naso Hablod  in Mogadishu (the capital of Somalia) taken place in a major city in Europe or the United States, it would receive 24-hour coverage for many days– as it should. Why isn’t there the same degree of interest when terrorist attacks take place in sub-Saharan Africa? The reports coming out of Somalia indicate a death toll between 14 and 35 people.

While people are being massacred in Mogadishu, the mainstream media is instead obsessed with 24-hour coverage of Brexit– telling us that the sky is falling, and criticizing the Britons because they have freed themselves from the socialists at the EU.

UPDATE June 26, 2016: Screen caption of the Hotel Naso Hablod on Trip Advisor’s website:

This geographical preference for news coverage is wrong. Even if there aren’t enough correspondents on the ground– there are always local sources that can provide much information.

I have written about this issue before:

Underreported terrorist attacks

I pray for the innocent people who lost their lives today in Mogadishu, at the hands of Islamic extremists. The world needs to pay attention to the plight of the thousands of innocent people dying at the hands of terrorists in sub-Saharan Africa.

Cruz said in Orlando that he promises to be a principled person. Liar! Here’s why…

By Marielena Montesino de Stuart

Is running after wealthy “Gay”donors in New York City a principled position, while claiming to defend marriage between one man and one woman? Which is it, Ted?

Read this: http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/04/24/us/politics/at-new-york-reception-ted-cruz-is-said-to-strike-different-tone-toward-gays.html?referer=&_r=0

Also, Cruz has received much criticism during the last 24 hours for putting the blame on Donald Trump for the Chicago protest on Friday, March 11 at Trump’s campaign rally. Jan Morgan, a 2nd Amendment activist who had endorsed Cruz– withdrew her endorsement on Friday based on Cruz’s comments.

It appears that Cruz is very selective when it comes to who can enjoy freedom of speech– since he seems to be on the side of the protesters, who succeeded in shutting down Trump’s campaign rally.

Ted Cruz’s actions described above do NOT represent principled positions– given his claim of being a Christian and a constitutional conservative.

Here’s Jan Morgan’s statement:

Kasich boasted about Communist Chinese investor in Ohio auto plant. No wonder he’s losing! Socialist!

By Marielena Montesino de Stuart

John Kasich represents the Socialist-Globalist element that has destroyed and hijacked the meaning of conservatism in America. He just  boasted to Neil Cavuto that a businessman from Communist China has invested a huge amount of money in an abandoned auto plant in Ohio… and Kasich has the nerve to be proud of it!

Keep in mind that ANY Chinese investor is representing the Communist dictatorship of China– since under the Communist system all business and investments are conducted under the careful control of the government– and can only be carried out if they meet the Communist dictatorship’s economic goals.

This is a tragic scenario for Americans. The Communist Chinese dictatorship has the upper hand on trade with the U.S.– and they also own us on American soil! Welcome to socialism!

There are no protests at Cruz and Rubio events because they don’t challenge socialism

By Marielena Montesino de Stuart

It is embarrassing to watch the remarks offered by Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz– suggesting that Donald Trump is partly responsible for the protests at the Chicago Trump rally.

Trump is not a perfect candidate– but the remarks about the Chicago protests by Cruz and Rubio show that these two US Senators are the “bottom feeders” of the 2016 presidential race. Cruz and Rubio speak the language of globalists and socialists!

Sham of the Week: Mitt Romney as the ‘Neutral Umpire’

By Marielena Montesino de Stuart

Not only did Mitt Romney ridicule himself yesterday morning in his farcical speech from Salt Lake City, Utah– but now he is ridiculing himself even further by claiming that he is a “neutral umpire” in the 2016 race for the White House.

IN AND OUT IN CUBA: Tourists pour in while Cubans pour out

For more than 50 years Cuba has been visited by tourists from just about every corner of this planet– without regard for the oppression and suffering of the Cuban people under Castro’s Communist military regime.

Now that Obama has established “diplomatic” relations with Cuba, American tourists are visiting the island prison in increasing numbers. These tourists shamelessly boast that it is “their right” and that they are no longer violating any laws (as when they would travel illegally to Cuba through Mexico or Canada)– some of them even participating in Cuba’s notorious sexual-tourism. This represents a monumental lack of basic human concern for those who suffer hunger, torture, imprisonment and relentless persecution in Cuba, simply for wanting to express their views about the atrocities being committed by the communists.

Interestingly, about the only complaint that I hear from some of these American tourists is that their trip to Cuba was extraordinarily expensive– and that once they stepped out of the theatrics of their hotel area, all they saw was misery and poverty. No kidding? Have these tourists ever considered the executions of peaceful dissidents carried out by the Cuban government under Castro– and the thousands who have drowned in the Strait of Florida trying to escape Cuba’s murderous regime?

These tourists who are relaxing and sipping their drinks in the apartheid-style beaches of Cuba, while terror is inflicted on the Cuban people by the Castro government, return to American soil arrogantly expecting to be kept fully free from oppression and restrictions. There is something dark, gruesome and revolting about this contrasting scenario.

Tourists with morbid curiosity for Cuba continue to visit the island prison– but Cubans are leaving the island in droves– as they desperately seek any way out. In 2015 the United States has seen a 78% increase in Cuban immigration. Read about it here.

The Cuban communist nightmare continues.
